Support per Cmao20. “Best of Commons” does not mean “the best photos of each subject” – for that we have got VI –, it means “the best images on Commons”. If we have 10 great and wonderful photos of species A and only 1 mediocre photo of species B, we can feature all 10 great photos of species A, if they are really great and are sufficiently different (showing different aspects/perspectives/poses/subspecies/… of species A), but must not feature the mediocre photo of species B; the latter should become a VI for species B, of course. – Aristeas (talk) 10:14, 29 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
